EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Associates degree and two (2) years of related experience in a sales environment with heavy customer interaction or high school diploma/GED and four (4) years of related experience in a sales environment with heavy customer service
  • Experience in the wire and cable market or defense/space industry preferred

SUMMARY

This position searches for and identifies qualified opportunities, initiates the sales process, and drives the opportunities to closure. Maintain and grow business with key accounts. Requires coordination with Business Development and Product Management to implement and execute on sales strategies. Perform a variety of critical sales activities including, but not limited to preparing quotes, order entry, OTD management, quote follow-up, and account management. This position requires monitoring of account trends, strategic information gathering, preparation and execution of plans that directly result in increased revenue of your assigned account base.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Maintain and grow business with existing key accounts.
  • Meet and exceed sales objectives.
  • Monitor and report on progress to the Inside Sales Manager and Sales Director making suggested improvements where needed.
  • Provide product quotes with pricing and availability to foster growth and profitability within their assigned account base.
  • Provide customer support including processing sales orders, managing sales orders, and responding to internal and external customer inquiries.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships making 100% customer satisfaction top priority.
  • Interact with internal departments to ensure customer expectations are communicated and met.
  • Able to anticipate issues and work with cross functional resources for problem resolution.
  • Defend and refute Supplier Ratings to have Carlisle maintain an acceptable level for Quality and Delivery.
  • Prepare and handle all documents and correspondence professionally and in a timely manner.
  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed to support customer service levels.
  • Strive to meet department metrics as outlined by Sales Manager and Sales Director.
  • Contributes to team effort in a collaborative and supportive manner.
  • Maintains clean, organized work environment and adheres to all safety standards, procedures, and regulations.
  • Adheres to all factory safety procedures and guidelines.
